Can't wait for the comedy part to begin. I think I'll shoot myself now. The art is fantastic and scary.

I've eagerly waited to see "The Nature Preserve" published for years. I read an earlier version, and its worlds captivated me from the start. With new, vibrant images and the suspense of waiting for more, it's bursting into life gloriously!

So far so amazing. In a surrealistic depressing kind of way. Great artwork.

This is my favorite paragraph:

"Her name was Ting Ting and she was a rascally sort of girl with lively eyes that reacted to everything. Her golden silk pajamas were embroidered with dragonflies. Her abundant hair had been gathered into two enormous pigtails. All these variations appealed to Swan and he immediately knew they’d be perfect for each other."

The art illustrates her cute and demented personality very well.

Thanks for this, but "demented?" I don't think Swan thinks so!

Referring to the art: I think she looks scary... like knife wielding scary.

Bad drawing. I'd revise it but I still have about 25 other drawings to do to finish the book. Yikes!

Not bad drawing. That comment probably reflects more about me.

Carry on.

The drawing reminds me of an aphex twin album cover

Yipes! Now that I’ve seen the aphex twin cover, I think I really need to redo this picture! Ting Ting is meant to be Swan’s dream girl but it sems like she’s scaring everyone.

I finally got around to replacing the Ting Ting close up picture with a variation of the Ting Ting image I did originally. Ting Ting is supposed to be Swan's "ideal type." I'm still not a huge fan of the wider shot but I guess I agree that she looks less "demented." Hope the commenters below a chance to look at this again. -Rb
